| How can CS & Pearl Photography maintain such a low cost as compared to other wedding photo studios? We are doing this on a freelancing basis and on weekends only. We do not have a studio and we have our regular full time job. This greatly reduces the overhead costs. In addition, we always work with our clients and strive to save cost for them. Do you have a professional studio? Currently not, as we are doing freelance. That is also why our cost is lower than most photographers in the market because we have minimal overhead cost. However, if you would like to have some studio shots, my friend, Martin will be able to provide the service at affordable price. You are welcome to contact us for more details on this. What type of equipment do you use? We use mainly 35 mm equipment, with top-of-the-line Contax with Carl Zeiss lens. Do you have liability insurance?
We do not provide one since this is only our part time freelancing activity. That explains the huge cost difference between our freelancing services compared to an established professional wedding photo studio. When will I get back my photos and album?
Depending on the professional lab where I bring the films to be developed, usually it takes less than 2 weeks. What is your payment policy? We prefer payment by cash, check or money order only. Due to our low cost operation, we do not accept credit card payment. Deposit is due 2 months before the event date. Full payment is due on the actual event date. What is your cancellation policy? Being freelance photographer, we are very flexible about this. Just let us know at least One Week before the event date and we'll give you a full refund. If we were informed after that, we have to charge a minimum of $100 for all the cost incurred in preparation for your event. Do you offer a money-back guarantee?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any money-back guarantee. Rest assure, so far all our clients have been satisfied with us. We provide clients with low cost service for professional quality, with the expense of all these unnecessary "perks". What is the cost per additional hour of shooting at the wedding? Refer to the footnotes of the Pricing page, we charge an additional of $50 for each additional hour and $35 for each additional role of film with photo CD (printing cost for 4"x6" inclusive). What is the cost of a 5" x 7" reprint? How about 8" x 10" reprint? 11" x 14" reprint? If you want extra prints, we encourage you to do this on your own at any neighborhood photo store to save cost. However if you require professional print quality, we can recommend some of the reliable Houston professional photo labs that we trust. Can negatives be purchased? If so, what is the cost? Negatives are given to our client free of charge. However, we reserve the right to post chosen digital photos on our website. If you do not wish for your photographs to be posted on our website, this right can be purchased with a small amount of $150. If you allow us to upload some of your wedding photos on our site as our portfolios, we need you to sign a model release form to cover our, umm, posterior assets. |
